There's a lot to get into this update, so let's begin.
Part 1 Progress
Part 1 is now considered finished, and a playable build has been approved for release on Steam. While the release date is May 22nd, most of the world will get it on May 21st instead. There will be a demo live on Steam soon, that is currently being worked through.
Part 2 Progress
Part 2 is progressing nicely, and I remain ahead of schedule on this area. My goal is to have this area finished completely within the next 3 weeks. This would put me in a good spot to start work on that update's other content additions, such as ************* (not giving it away that easily). Because I am so ahead, the planned bug fix I would work on after the Game's release will be, instead, this content update. This means that within the first week or so, you will probably see version 1.1.0 begin to roll out. Again, very far ahead of schedule. I actually just started something that I have had in my brain for awhile, it's going to be pretty cool.
Experimental Releases
I have decided to cancel experimental releases. Instead, Part 2 content will release fully. They will be properly tested for the update's release and considered standard update content. Please enjoy this somewhat episodic release from now on.
Development Update Changes
Development updates are no longer going to be seasonal. Instead, they will happen when an update is prepared and ready to go within a reasonable amount of time. They'll also be larger scale presentations, such as the one prpared for Savior's Part 1 release.
Launch Discount
The game will be 10% off at launch for the first week. I'm sure this is a welcome idea.
Story
What? Savior has a story? While you can't really tell based on Part 1 alone, Savior has a really expansive story that can be interpreted in many ways. Because the story happens through the lens of the player, so much is left intentionally vague. That said, there is a clear narrative that has a satisfying ending. You'll get your first look at the main villain in update 1.1.0, specifically the presentation before.
Update 1.1.0 plans
Update 1.1.0 is intended to contain the next area, Mesa, as well as three other content additions. Most updates will then follow this structure.
Current Dev Timeline

Closing
Savior is in a spot where I can see the end of the game, envision how it will look, and see the story beats. I've been working incredibly hard on the project. When the content for 1.1.0 is finished, I intend to take a break until the game releases. I may draw some tile sets or do light work on 1.2.0, but honestly, I expect this to be around the time Deltarune Chapter 5 comes out and I kind of just want to play that. As well, it will be nice to just take a break. The game is doing some unexpected numbers on Steam right now, which is very nice. I anticipate a few people will pick up the game, and I hope they will thoroughly enjoy it.
That is all for this update. Thank you for your continued support.
